The song about Wilder went viral in April. A repentant Bamford along with Leeds boss, Daniel Farke, phoned the Sheffield United manager the following day.

Wilder said at the time: “Had a conversation with Patrick recently and I have no problem whatsoever with that. I'm uncertain about the language from a fellow pro! However I valued and admired him calling me.

“We spent a short while and the same again I talked with Daniel Farke too and had a half-hour chat together and he's a great person, a top guy. Back in my playing days we would dish it out and accept it and that’s part and parcel of the game at every level, including Sunday league. I've got absolutely no issue. I'm fine with it and I told him that to Pat.”
